Over the last few years, gender ideology seems to have appeared from nowhere and is now disrupting the very foundations of Western civilization. Gender ideology denies that the differences between men and women have biological foundations. It is another in the long line of Tabula Rasa, or “blank slate” theories, which postulate that humans are entirely a product of their environment.
The Nazis and Communists leveraged this belief to try to create a new type of human, who would selflessly work for the good of the state. In the West, blank slate theory was a major impetus for the creation of government schools where children could be “socialized” to be obedient members of society. It continues to be the motivation for pushing government “education” on younger children through government preschool programs like Head Start.
However, modern scientific understanding shows that people are not born a blank slate. Rather, human behavior is substantially shaped by our genes. Some of our behaviors exist just because we are human. Some are inherited from our specific ancestors. And others exist because of the inherent biological differences between males and females. Yes, the fact is that males and females are biologically different.
Men and women have different chromosomes. Men have a Y chromosome. Women do not. This is true even when genetic abnormalities exist. Women can have an extra X chromosome, known as Triple X syndrome. Men can have an extra Y chromosome, called XYY syndrome. Men can also have an extra X chromosome, known as Klinefelter (XXY) syndrome. In each case, men have a Y chromosome and women do not.
Men and women also have different primary sex hormones. Hormones are chemical messengers that affect and manage hundreds of bodily processes. They also influence behavior. Men produce as much as 20 times the amount of testosterone as women. And women produce more estrogen than men.
In 2005, researchers also found that men and women have different brain architectures. There aren’t any general differences in intelligence between men and women. But men have approximately 6.5 times the amount of gray matter in areas related to general intelligence than women. And women have nearly 10 times the amount of white matter in areas related to intelligence than men.
Men and women also certainly have different bodily compositions including muscle mass, bone density, and reproductive organs.
The evidence is clear. The notion that gender is a mere social construct and not a deep part of our biology is patently untrue. Unfortunately, western society is now in full-blown denial of this reality by participating in the delusions of people who have gender dysphoria.
Gender dysphoria is a rare mental disorder where a person feels a strong identification with a different gender. In the past, people with the disorder often became transvestites, which is the practice of wearing the clothing of the opposite gender for the purposes of sexual gratification. But in the second half of the 20th century, a Danish doctor, Christian Hamburger, began experimenting with gender therapy by testing sex hormones on animals.
The first modern sex change operation occurred in 1952, when George Jorgensen, a New Yorker, was transformed into “Christine” by Dr. Hamburger. In addition to operating on his genitals and implanting fake breasts, the doctor also gave Jorgensen female hormone treatments.
In the subsequent decades, sex change operations were rare. But they started to explode over the last few years. Today, sex reassignment surgeries in America have become a $2 billion business. And the market is expected to grow at 11% a year in the coming decade.
Unfortunately, society is not satisfied with simply allowing adult men who have gender dysphoria to undergo this procedure.
We are now allowing men, who are pretending to be women, to invade women’s sports, beauty pageants, restrooms, and prisons, whether they’ve gone through sex reassignment surgery or not.
Even more troubling, society is also engaged in horrific medical experimentation on young children – pumping them full of puberty blockers, and hormones, and even mutilating their breasts and genitalia.
Children are being taken to “drag shows”, where adult male transvestites engage in sexualized performances. Remember, transvestites wear the clothing of the opposite sex for the purpose of sexual gratification. So, drag performances are sexual by their very nature and inappropriate for children.
Of course, anyone who objects to this madness is labeled a “bigot”.
It should be noted that there are very rare abnormalities that are related to one’s gender and sex organs. For example, females can be born with an enlarged clitoris that looks like a penis. Males can be born with undescended testicles and a scrotum that looks like a labia. When these types of very rare abnormalities occur, the child’s doctor and parents will agree on a course of action. But this has nothing to do with the denial of gender reality that is sweeping Western society.
As mentioned above, the notion that gender is a mere social construct has its roots in the Tabula Rasa, or “blank slate” theory. But there are likely other contributing factors. Some believe that it is part of an overall neo-Marxist plot to overwhelm and disrupt society so that radical change can be foisted on us. Others believe that it is designed to pave the way for the normalization of pedophilia. I tend to think that the overuse of video games has blurred the distinction between fantasy and reality for many young people. If one can change their gender online, why can’t they do so in the real world?
The magic question is what can we do about it? Many states are in the process of outlawing gender “therapy” for minors. Some states are also prohibiting children from attending drag performances. But the basic belief in Tabula Rasa, which has been amplified by the fantasy world of video games, will be much more difficult to overcome. Until we can overcome that, we will continue to see one reality-denying belief after another crop up in society.
